4B. Autorewind configuration assembly

Assembly time : 45min
Required elements :
- Spool Tank’s frame
- 2 threaded rods
- 10 bearings
Printed parts :
Step 1 PTFE guides
Files in 0ST_Spool tank folder:
0ST_ptfe_5x_2.5×4.3mf
Insert M3 square nuts into each slots
Insert MMU genuine PTFE tubes (2.5*4mm, around 30 cm each), and screw with M3*12 screws without pinching the PTFE
Screw the PTFE guides inside the Spool Tank using M3*6 screws
Step 2 Uprights assembly
Files in 0ST_Spool tank > Auto_rewind_with_spring folder:
0ST_Uprights_autorewind
Insert all uprights on threaded rods as shown in the picture.
Left and right uprights must be flushed with the threaded rods.
Use the two rectangular spacer to keep a constant sapce between each uprights
Use M3*6 screws to tighten them in position on the rods
Insert 2 M4 nuts into each extremity uprights
Step 3 Springs assembly
Files in 0ST_Spool tank > Auto_rewind_with_spring folder:

Sort your parts as shown in the picture. Be carefull, the “Top” is a little different (not a round middle hole)
Insert a bearing into the tube, and one into the cover
Place the “Bottom” part inside the tube, with the middle stops on top
Place one “A” part on top of it, with the outside stops on top
Continue, with B, A, B, A, B, A, “Top” part, ans screw the “Cover”
Make sure that all parts are fitted together with the previous one, like shown in the picture
Insert from one end an axis
Add the small printed part to the axis, and secure with a M3*12 screw. Make sure that the straight line from each side of the axis are parallel.
Repeat for the four other springs.
Step 4 Final assembly
Insert the uprights assembly inside the Spool Tank. You may use the flexibility of the metal frame and of the extremities uprights, but don’t use too much strength.
