Prusabox Pro Pack assembly guide

On this guide, we will help you for the assembly of you Prusabox Pro Pack.

For each chapter, we will ask you to follow the regular assembly guide. There are some differences, that are detailed in each following paragrphs.

You don’t need to go to chapter 1 as all printed parts are included.

Chapter 2: Platform

Step 2: assemble the “quick top remove” corners. You may follow the guide on this page.

Steps 4-5-6 depend on the front panel you chose.  If you chose model C (modular control panel), the temperature control panel is fitted instead of the side filtration module.

Step 8: Pro Pack includes specific dampers. Follow step 8.2

Steps 13-14-15-16 depend on the front panel you chose. In any case you must add screen, temperature control and switch now. If you chose the flat front panel follow these steps. If you chose angled panel, follow this guide. If you chose modular control panel, you can follow this guide

Steps 22-23: screw the 12V plug for power adaptator diagonally on the round hole and keep unplugged wires for fan and LED to the back left corner.

Add the second half of each bottom corners on the uprights, following the video “metal bending”.

Bending will give springs to the metal, and allow you to assemble and disassemble the top easily.

 

Install uprights on the upper part:

Slide down each upright on the corner. Metal parts should not overlap.

Screw tightly every corner.

Mods (LED, fan, inside spool holder)

It is time to add LED to your box. Please follow this assembly guide.

Chapter 5: Final assembly

Flip the cover on the plateform. Make sure all corners are correctly inserted before sliding down the top.

 Screw each corners.

Then you must plug fan’s and LED’s wires, clip the vertical cable cover, and add doors.

Instructions:

Please keep those instructions close by while assembling your printer-box: you may need to click on some of the pictures or watch our video tutorials.

Handling the printer: 

Do not risk getting burned: wait until the printer has cooled down before handling it.
Always handle your 3D printer with care: the tray moves easily.

People required for assembly:

You can do this on your own.

Work area:

Set up on a stable table or work surface that can ideally be walked around.
If you can’t navigate around your table, that’s okay, you may have to orientate your printer-box differently but you won’t break your back.

Non supplied material:

To mount the printerbox, you can use the tools supplied with the Prusa printer:

  • 1 2mm hex key
  • 1 2.5mm hex key
  • 1 clamp 

For the air vent module, you can either use:

  • 1 Swiffer wipe 
  • 1 surgical mask
